Patrick the Sweet
Patrick was born here at home to a feral mother, who is still with us, in kitten season 2019. He was one of five healthy babies, and remained after his sibs were all adopted, fine with us! He was gentle and sweet, and fit in perfectly. One of my friends thought about adopting him, but never did. Okay with us: if she was ambivalent, we were not...
Just this spring, our Maggie came down with what the doc thought was some kind of poisoning. Vomiting bile and having bloody diarrhea. Our homeopath pulled her out of it, then Patrick started having the same symptoms. Each cat is different, and the homeopathic vet prescribed for Patrick too, but he did not survive. While this was going on, there was a situation near us where poison had been spread inside (!) a neighbor's yard, and had killed many of her chickens. No words! And not a peaceful death. The county sheriff is trying to find the killer.
