Pearl the Greeter

Pearlie was a bottle baby, along with her two siblings. She was not adopted (?) and stayed with us.  Pearl was a large presence, meeting one and all who came to our door with a happy greeting...she loved to be touched, cared for the others, and was a happy, calming presence in te household.  She developed Lymphoma throughout her body: kidneys, abdomen, and lungs. Our communicator told us that she felt awful, and would like help leaving her body.  She was assisted in this at Advanced Veterinary Medical Center in El Sobrante.  They let me into the room with her, which had been prepared beautifully: a soft blanket over the examining table, soft music, water, tissues, and a button for me to push when I was ready to let her go. Lovely. We miss Pearl so much!!
