Well, after exhausting my patience trying to paste the form onto the site, let me say that (I need tech help and) we started 2015 with 37 cats, had 22 great adoptions, and (!) ended the year with 57 cats. Let's hope we get the details soon!
To translate, as the print is sooo small, we took in 40 cats from the public in 2014, and found (great!) homes for 22. We had three who were euthanized. We allow them a peaceful natural death whenever possible, which is most of the time. We support them with hydration till the end, and pain medicine. When, however, a cat is gasping or otherwise struggling to breathe, there is no possibility of a peaceful passing. Then we euthanize. We had quite a few newborns whom we lost... but most "made it".
Print here again small...but we started 2013 with 36 cats, took in 36 (!) and found homes for 21. We 'trap, neuter, returned' 26 community or free-living cats. Our adoption rate is down a bit, please adopt!! We did more hospice care this year: very rewarding!
