Sweet Willem

This dear boy came to us when we received a call...he had apparently been outside in the caller's yard for a day (!) and crying. No mother had been seen, or other kittens. When he arrived, he was covered in (TMI?) fly eggs...but strong and active! I got him warm and fed him, and prayed he'd make it. Two days later I noticed that his eye, still closed, was swollen. With warm compresses I got the pus out, and it looked okay..Dr. Han said that if it opened it could drain better, Bless his little heart. He nursed, but I also tube-fed him to be sure he got all he needed. 30 ML a day at four ounces! He looked like the re-incarnation of my dear Brownie. Next thing, I found pus at the umbilical cord area, and a small hole. Took him to Dr. Han, who said not to worry. I knew that his energy had lessened though, and worried. My brilliant homeopath Chris Barrett recommended Apis for him, and I gave it. He continued to fade, and I took him to bed with me that night. Bless him, he expired at five the next morning. He was a wonder, and purred more than any newborn I ever knew.
