Two Little Angels, Indy and Jeffers.

Picture
I received a call from a nice woman who had found newborns in her yard, no mother. Yes, we always tell folks to look long and hard for the mother...
Two had been found dead, and one died shortly after she brought her in. The caller had been trying to keep the other two alive, but could not be there to feed and care for them constantly.  I found a dear foster for these two, but it was too late to save them. This woman is an angel herself, highly skilled, and gave them Reiki, flower essences, and just everything that could be done to revive them. If there was any way, she would have found it. Both women took them to a vet...who was not optimistic.
So many of these homeless newborns die:  spay and neuter the homeless adults, folks, even it if is not "your" cat.  We all need to help these mothers who try so valiantly to survive and to keep their babies safe. Traps can be had. I have traps to lend. End of rant.
If the newborns don't stay warm, and get food, after birth, they can die quickly.  If the mother has to leave them alone, in the cold and/or wet, to look for food, well...tragic. these little angels deserved better.
