This handsome dude was brought home from a colony I took over. He had been not using his back legs well, and I decided to have him looked at. I thought it might just be an old injury which had not healed well, as he was getting around fine, except that the back end would flop to the side ...
Fortunately, he turned out to be friendly to humans, and seemed glad to be here with the others. Photos (rads) showed no broken bones. Chiropractor found only one vertebra out of place and fixed it. Mystery. He ate well, and seemed to be fine otherwise. His paralysis, and general condition, however, worsened. None of the doctors he saw could quite figure it out. He came to us on Sept. 28, 2019, and died on Nov. 27. He was much loved, and is greatly missed. here he is with his friends on the deck.
