Adoption Information

Picture

Meet the cats at by appointment at 6073 Felix Ave., Richmond, CA, 94805. Take all the time you need: there's a lot to talk about!
Our adoption fee is $85.00, which includes Martin Goldstein’s book “The Nature of Animal Healing”, and Kymythy Schultz’s book “Natural Nutrition for Dogs and Cats”, a starter kit of food and supplements, our own handout of information, and lots of on-going advice and assistance.  If the cat is under six months of age, thus not altered yet, we take a deposit of $100.00 per cat, and return it (we don’t cash the checks) when we receive the spay/neuter certification.

We also offer free boarding if you travel, though it’s better for them if they stay home and have someone come to the house.

We insist that if for any reason, “it does not work out”, that you bring the cats back to Bee Holistic. We require that you feed raw organic, have an outdoor space for them and a few other good things…

This is our adoption agreement:

We are aware that with good care, a cat should live to at least twenty years of age.

We agree that if for any reason we become unable to care for our adopted cat (s) we will return them to Bee Holistic. That said, we are also aware that during the lifetime of our loved ones, sickness and problems will no doubt occur, and we are willing to care for her/him as need be. “till death do us part”.

We will not vaccinate, unless required by law. We will titer if questions arise as to immunity, and/or use homeopathic nosodes.

We will feed our loved one fresh food exclusively. This means raw organic meat, with some veggies & supplements; very few carbohydrates or grains. they don’t require them, tho some have useful nutrition. Junk food can be addicting, and should be avoided, lest the cats lose their taste for wholesome food.

We will allow her outdoors, and install a cat door if we own our own home.

We will provide health insurance (unless we are Very wealthy)

We will read Marty’s book within the first month of adopting.

We will neuter/spay after the cat(s) reaches six months of age. We will provide a copy of the neuter certificate to Bee Holistic by email at Cynthia@CynthiaBurke.com or by mail or fax (510-237-1190).

We will not use collars, or microchip our adoptee.

We are aware that Bee Holistic provides free boarding while we travel, and will use that service rather than board the cats, unless we have other options.

We will explore and use holistic care.

We recognize that this is a living being, to be respected and understood as an equal. We are guardians, not “owners”.

If for any reason, we must relinquish our adoptee, s/he/they will return to Bee Holistic, unless another guardian is found and approved by Bee Holistic.

We agree to allow our photo with adoptee (s) to be used in promotional materials.

We Agree to All of the Above!
